A taste of Larapinta

Our 3-day experience

Experience Overview

Traditional owners share their country and culture

As Aboriginal tour guides, we create authentic experiences that are culturally related to land and the natural environment, incorporating cultural interactions with traditional owners and traditional homelands and providing clients with a deeper, richer experience of Central Australia and Indigenous culture.

Itineraries can be tailor-made to meet the needs of different events and groups.

Itinerary

Our 3-day experience

All tour itineraries and particulars are subject to change due to weather conditions, cultural considerations, operational issues and any other unforeseen circumstances. While Larapinta Culture makes every effort to keep to the original itinerary and timetable, we reserve the right to alter/cancel any or all of a particular itinerary.

Day 1 – Pick up from airport and, once everyone has been collected, we head out west to our base camp, stopping at various interesting locations along the way, including cultural locations. Dinner served around the campfire, then it’s off to bed in your tent with swag (complete with full linen).

Day 2 – Rise early, breakfast. Everyone makes their own lunches, complete with snacks, and then we head off for a day of walking on one of the selected sections of the Larapinta Trail – choice of which section is at the guide’s discretion and will be dependent on group size and fitness level, weather and cultural considerations.

Day 3 – Rise early, breakfast. Everyone makes their own lunches, complete with snacks, then we head off on the day’s walk. Again, the specific section of the trail will be dependent on group size and fitness level, weather and cultural considerations.
